Day On The Range

2nd Annual Day on the Range

This new partnership connects city kids from the Boys & Girls Club with the western lifestyle at "Day on the Range" at Latigo.  "My favorite part was when I got to learn about horses, because I don't know that much about horses and I want to learn more about them," said club member, Jason.  There is a lot of show and tell about horses and several stations manned by cowboys and cowgirls.  The ride in the horse-drawn carriage was a favorite.

Each child receives a Day On The Range experience complete with cowboy hat, bandanna, entertainment and a chuck wagon lunch. Real cowboys and cowgirls mentor and lead the students throughout the day modeling the core values of the Cowboy Way and teaching western heritage through hands on activities.

Funding for this event is made possible by The Spencer Miller Tribute and through the generous in-kind support of Taco Bell.
